Wicked

The musical, the movie and my interpretations.

After waiting so long to watch the wicked movie in cinemas here are my thoughts, my interpretations and what i felt throughout watching the movie. Somebody grab some tissues for me, from the very moment the movie started to the facial expressions on Ariana’s face as she watched munchkins sing about her dear friend Elphaba being dead. You could clearly see she was deep upset, and how people remember her as a wicked witch of the west rather then someone who wanted to free each animal and treat animals,humans, munchkins to get along, but that legacy will be forgotten.

Ever since i was a child i loved wizard of oz and then wicked came along i couldn’t stop listening to the soundtrack Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel where so iconic, and now its Ariana Grande and Cynthia Eviro’s turn to keep the legacy on. I dream to play glinda in future wicked west end shows but to be honest i have always been Elphaba girl.

This is where i was crying because i just related to elphaba a lot a quiet misunderstood girl who had only one teachers friendship and love, the primary school and high school teachers i wasn’t too close too or they didn’t do anything against the bullies. The ones that where looking down on me, boys being more physically violent like shoving or pushing me away, poking me everywhere with their sharp pencils, telling me to go back to my nazi friends. Being different and being treated like you’re some sort of evil person, bringing harm to the world.

My interpretations where vivid instead of seeing Cynthia and Ariana i would always see queen Camilla and Lady Dale Tryon the ones i look upto Kanga Dale Tryon my favorite fashion designer and Queen Camilla the one i look upto for more reading recommendations for my own writing.

So go book your tickets and enjoy your ride to Shiz university and into the Emerald City to meet the wizard. Trust me its so magical adream come true something i couldn’t have with the original broadway cast in 2003 i was in Germany and only two years old. But whatever age this is your sign.
