Lady Dale Elizabeth Tryon also known as Dale Elizabeth Harper was an australian social elite, she was born on the 3rd January 1948 in Melbourne, Australia, during the 1960s she worked as an australian reporter for my weekly, womens weekly and with relocation assistance moved from Australia to the United Kingdom, London. during the late 1960s and early 1970s she mixed with a wide range from people from all sort of backgrounds her funny, bubbly, vivacious side is what caught the eye of handsome, stern faced Lord Anthony Tryon,
Lord Tryon loved Dale’s bubbly, funny vivacious side and her good sense of humor learning she came from Australia and after dating her in the early 1970s he got down on one knee and proposed to her, he even flew all the way to Australia to ask her father for her hand in marriage both parents had no problems, as they thought Dale and Anthony where a match, they even gave each other nicknames she called him Ant and he called her Kanga which she later used for fashion label.the couple married summer of 1973, to which they welcomed their first child, a daughter, Zoe Tryon.Lord Tryon was also a close friend of the then prince of Wales, Charles which he introduced his wife to him. Dale like Camilla Rosemary Shand later Camilla Parker Bowles, was this blonde, beautiful , bubbly, funny vivacious person that brighten each room they walk in, like Camilla Dale held the gift of comforting others mainly the prince of Wales. According to Penny Junor in the duchess the untold story, has mentioned that Charles went to Dale and Camilla where the only two women whose opinion matters to him the most. Both women where so similar that i feel comforted by both of them, they could have been friends but instead they hate each other, they had push you pull me rivalry going on between them.
This article is all about my admiration of Dale and why i love her and how she admires me especially considering why i love her fashion line.

  • Vibrant Colours – When i looked at the women’s wear she designs, most of her dress are blue, but with a mix of vibrant colours in different shapes and sizes which makes it unique and pretty.
  • Cultural – Kanga dresses and blouses show variety of cultures in her fashion line, especially african style, something i should have worn when i went to Pakistan in 2017.
  • Carefree, party style – Most of kanga dresses often are designed for parties, which usually cost around £100-£300 reasonable price for a party dress, i don’t know much party dress since  Dale is is party peacock here.
  • Blouses – The work i do i need a smart blouse but with a colour that shines my personality.

Since there is a documentary about her  in 2008 named prince Charles other mistress, many would see her as the mistress of King Charles 3rd, but to be honest i see her as the queen of Australian fashion, a real style queen, style icon.

She just knew how to style each fashion item whether it was  designer from Gucci (Gucci) Coco Chanel (Chanel), Louis Vuitton or jewellery from Tiffany & Co brand. Lady Dale Tryon knew how to style each item from each brand, she worked as an fashion agent for an american designer. So no wonder she was such a style icon in her time.

If she where alive and not queen of the untied kingdom and commonwealth, duchess of Cornwall/Princess of Wales. I would happily and kindly ask her if she like to mentor me and teach me about fashion. She is and always will be my style queen and my main source of inspiration in the fashion industry.

In loving memory of Lady Dale tryon also known as Dale Elizabeth Harper.

KANGA (1948-1997).
